Six Best Features Of The Motorola Cliq XT

With T-Mobile’s recent decision to carry the Motorola Cliq XT. We thought it would be a good idea to check out the main features of the phone. Here’s a quick rundown of what we thought its best attributes are:

1) Screen – This is the biggest change to the device. Where the original Cliq had a slider QWERTY keyboard, the XT has a fairly responsive capacitive touch screen display with built-in keyboard entry. The 3.1 inch screen has a resolution of 320 x480 pixels which is a standard, but decent size.

2) Structure – The XT has a unique shell that really feels great to the touch. The frame has a nice texture so you can always keep a good grip on it and it’s easy to carry, even if you put it in your purse or pants pocket. All the buttons and ports are placed in practical places. The micro USB near the bottom left, the power button near the top right, with the headset jack on top as well. The 2-stage camera is just below the power button and really does an excellent job of auto-focusing before a picture is taken.

3) Functions – The trackpad and the buttons at the bottom of the phone are well-placed. The trackpad itself very responsive just like the touch screen. The four buttons (2 on either side of the trackpad) have a slight texture as well which makes them easy to distinguish since they do not stick out from the frame.

4) Sound – As with most Motorola devices the Cliq XT has great sound quality, conversations are crystal clear even on speaker phone. Although, the volume of the speaker phone itself could be a bit louder.

5) Battery – This device has a relatively good battery life. With a full day of normal use, both talk and data, it will last until the night, needing to be charged every 24 hours probably just to be safe.

6) Reception – The XT comes with Wifi which is an added bonus. The reception is very good and the phone itself runs smoothly and quickly.

Overall, this is a good phone with some decent upgrades.
