Is There A Beach Vacation In Your Future? Fitness Tips To Get You Bikini Ready.

You have six weeks before your tropical vacation – panic sets in – Will I fit into my bikini? You have already set your goal, no need to panic. The question now is how do we make your goal of getting bikini ready into a reality?

Objective #1: Write down your goals. Take inventory of your current fitness regime. Does it need an overhaul? Map out how many days a week you are willing to devote to your health & fitness. Map out what you need to modify in your daily nutrition.

Step #2: Get the support of others. Let family and friends know what you are doing – make yourself accountable to someone else.

The third step is to look at what you are eating. Write in a journal the typical foods you eat on a daily basis. Are you eating cookies, candies, alcohol? Think moderation when wanting a treat! Are you eating protein to feed your muscles? Are you eating whole grains to feed your brain and give you energy? Are you eating plenty of fruits and veggies to provide your body with essential vitamins. Are you eating only a few times per day (2-3), and not giving your body the energy it needs? Or are you providing your body with adequate energy by eating small, frequent meals (4-6)?

Step #4: Now for the hard work – you need to get physical! You want a beautiful bikini body? This means you have to build beautiful muscles – which means you have to do some weight training. Weight training will increase our metabolism, give us more fuel to expel calories, and provide definition to your legs, tummy, arms, etc. Weight training isn’t the only hard work you need to do – you have to add some cardiovascular exercise. You need to increase the intensity to see results in six weeks. This means you are going to add in some intervals to your regular cardiovascular exercise. If you walk on the treadmill – increase the incline. If you walk on the treadmill – start to add in some jogging. If you like to jump rope, then add that into the mix. You need to go for quality over quantity!

The final step is to put all of these steps into action! The key is to stay consistent with your exercise and nutrition plan. Consistency will pay off when in six weeks you look fit and fabulous in your teeny, weeny bikini!
