Jane, a fifty year old woman, often wonders how she keeps getting bruises. She does not recall ever bumping into anything, nor does she remember any pain. But, as she touches her arms she notices a bruise. Jane thinks to herself “Since I’ve gotten older why do I bruise easily?” She couldn’t ever remember bruising that much when she was a younger woman. It seems as though the older she gets, the more effortless a bruise forms. What could be the cause of her easy bruising?

Mary’s doctor told her the same thing he told other people that were around the same age. Mary’s doctor explained to her that bruises are less difficult to obtain as age increases. Bruises are acquired through impact. When an impact occurs, a person’s capillaries break. With people over fifty, it doesn’t take a large amount of impact for capillaries to break.

After a person’s capillary is damaged, the small blood vessels release a certain amount of blood. When this blood is released, a reddish-brown spot or mark appears. This mark or spot is called a bruise. Although bruises occur at any age, bruises are more common among older people But, not to worry, bruises diminish naturally.

As people get older, the body tissues weaken and the capillaries become easier to break. Another age factor is the thickness of your skin. When age increases, your skin becomes thinner. The skin also loses some of the protective layer that helps protect it against injuries. Without this layer, your body is more prone to damage. Thus, without a strong protective layer, your skin is easier to bruise.

A bruise is not something to get stressed about. Unless serious bruising occurs, bruises are not a serious medical problem. Bruises typically only last for a few days; there is no need to visit a doctor unless extreme bruising occurs. Medications such as Aspirin, Coumadin, and Plavix thin blood and increase bruising. However, no one should stop consuming these medications without the consent of a doctor.

Medications aren’t the only thing connected to bruising. Some supplements such as; Fish Oil and Ginger also increase bruising. Although these supplements are generally good for one’s body, they also have a thinning effect on the blood stream. So, even these types of supplements shouldn’t be take in large doses.

Sunlight and age is a bad combination. Sunlight not only increases the look of wrinkles, but it can increase bruising as well. An additional exposure to sunlight will have a negative effect on a person’s skin. An excess amount of sun exposure can weaken a person’s blood vessel walls, and cause easier bruising on the skin’s surface.

It seems like bruises are much too easy to acquire. Many people wonder how they can stop bruising as they age. The truth is, there isn’t any real cure for a bruise. There are ways to treat bruises that will eliminate the appearance of a bruise, but most bruises go away naturally. Although bruises occur in both genders, bruises are more common in women than in men. So, the next time you look down and spot a bruise, don’t panic! As people get older, they bruise easier. This is a natural part of life!

If you glance down and discover bruises that you can’t explain, or if you’ve noticed spectacular bruises that have come from extremely slight bumps, it’s time to determine if your diet is having an effect on your bruising susceptibility.

Although there are numerous reasons why you might be bruising, you definitely need to examine the affects that can come from the food that you eat. As far as I know (and I’ve certainly done my research) there is no such thing as a bruise free diet, you still need to evaluate the foods that you do put into your body, to help you determine whether dietary changes can help you overcome your easy bruising.

First, if you follow a diet that is low in fat and high in protein you will be assured that you are getting plenty of iron. By following a diet that is high in iron, you will be able to pretty much eliminate anemia as a cause of your easy bruising.

Anemia can be a prime cause for some spectacular bruising, but if you are getting sufficient quantities of iron from your diet, anemia can cease to be a concern. Foods like liver, which contains an impressive amount of iron as well as protein, can be great additions to your diet. If you soak the liver in milk before cooking it will help get rid of the bile taste that is offensive to so many people, and if you then pair it with onions and rice, it can make a tasty and healthy meal.

Keep in mind that a low fat, high protein diet provides you with increased energy levels. Extra energy to help you get through the day is great, but there is the added benefit of enhanced circulation and for the health of your heart as well.

How you feel at the end of the day, and how much energy do you have left to do things like exercise and recreation? Increased energy will guide you through the day and leave you feeling great with plenty of energy remaining to handle your personal needs. A low fat, high protein diet can be instrumental in providing you with that great energy level.

Consulting with your doctor before you make extreme changes in your diet is always a good idea. In some people, a low fat, high protein diet is going to be a major change, and the change could take some time to get used to.

When you are having your discussion, remember to bring up your bruising as well. In most cases, easy bruising is simply a sign of aging or of deficiencies in your diet, but it is always better to be safe than sorry, especially when you are thinking about your long term health.

Do a thorough evaluation of how your diet may be affecting your body and what physical signs your body may be sending you. If you someone who tends to bruise easily, do you know what you can do to overcome the easy bruising? Are you being proactive about learning how to reduce the bruising easily that you are dealing with by evaluating your diet? It will become obvious that changing your diet can have a real benefit for your efforts to prevent bruising easily.

Even if you carefully monitor your diet, following an all natural, daily supplement program like Bruises Be Banned has been proved to be very advantageous in helping you reduce bruising easily.
